Measure H, which would support 29 fire agencies in Sonoma County, is on track to pass. “Yes” votes are ahead of “no” votes by a margin of 61 to 39 percent. Measure H would add a half-cent sales tax. It would generate an estimated 62-million-dollars per year, with the revenue paying for fire agencies’ staffing and other critical needs. A similar measure was voted down by a slim margin four years ago.
