Sonoma County Voter Turnout Low at 23-Percent

Sonoma County is seeing a low voter turnout in this year’s primary election. As of Wednesday morning, 25.22-percent of registered voters had cast a ballot. Over 76-thousand ballots have been counted, out of nearly 303-thousand registered voters in Sonoma County. Elections officials estimate tens of thousands more mail-in ballots will be counted in the coming days, along with ballots dropped off on Tuesday. About 51-hundred in-person votes were cast on election day as well.
