Katie Porter Alleges Rigged Election by Billionaires After Super Tuesday

Congresswoman Katie Porter is suggesting billionaires rigged the California U.S. Senate race in favor of rival Adam Schiff. Porter, who did not win a single county in Tuesday’s primary election, made the accusation on Wednesday via a post on X. Porter says her campaign was up against “three to one in TV spending and an onslaught of billionaires spending millions to rig this election.” She also suggests special interests had an influence on the election. Porter has less than 14 percent of the vote, losing to fellow Democrat Schiff and Republican Steve Garvey, who will face each other in the general election in November.
