Tens of Thousands of Votes Still to Be Counted in Sonoma County

Tens of thousands of primary election ballots remain uncounted in Sonoma County. The posted returns, as of Wednesday night, are from 76-thousand-374 counted ballots. The overall voter turnout has slightly improved from Tuesday and now stands at 25 percent. An additional 70-thousand ballots were delivered to the Sonoma County elections office on Tuesday and Wednesday. That indicates many voters waited until the last minute to either drop off or mail in their ballots. The additional ballots have not yet been processed.
