The Sonoma County Board of Supervisors is officially backing a tax measure that local voters will decide on in November. On Tuesday, the board unanimously voted in favor of supporting the measure. If approved, it would add a quarter-cent sales tax, with the revenue from it supporting child care and health care. Sixty-percent of the money would be invested into child care needs, with the other 40 percent being directed to children’s health and early development programs.
