Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn Being Sued Over Sexual Assault Claim

A former guest of the Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn in Sonoma alleged a massage therapist sexually assaulted her during a massage in 2022. A civil lawsuit filed Monday in Alameda County Superior Court alleges the luxury hotel chain has “tolerated and permitted sexual assault and abuse of unsuspecting spa customers” at the Sonoma Mission Inn in recent years. In 2018, the resort faced another lawsuit when a 50-year-old Alameda County resident alleged that massage therapist Daniel Cortright inappropriately touched her. She accused the hotel of negligence and failure to supervise staff.
