Voters may ultimately get to decide if a proposed resort in Saint Helena gets built. The resort with up to 56 rooms is planned for the Charles Krug Winery. First, a ballot initiative would need to receive enough valid signatures from registered voters. Then, it would go before the Saint Helena City Council, which could either choose to put the measure before voters or adopt it outright. The ballot measure is being pursued by Noble House Hotels and Resorts, the owners of the Napa Valley Wine Train.
