17 Arrests Made During Petaluma Checkpoint on Friday Before St. Patrick’s Day

Petaluma police made 17 arrests during a checkpoint over the weekend. They set up a checkpoint Friday night on Petaluma Boulevard North at Gossage Avenue. Over 90 vehicles were screened, and three drivers were arrested for DUI, one was arrested for an outstanding warrant, and 13 citations were issued for driving without a license. Over the St. Patrick’s Day holiday weekend, 10 drivers were arrested for DUI in Petaluma. Funding for the DUI Checkpoint was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
