A Petaluma man faces an attempted murder charge after authorities in Marin County allege he attacked someone with an ax Tuesday. According to Central Marin Police, a 911 caller reported a suspicious man holding an ax and following another man. While officers made their way to the scene, several other callers reported the man had broken into a business and attacked someone inside. Police credited the workers who witnessed the attack with acting fast to prevent further harm as they pinned the suspect down waiting for police. The victim sustained severe facial injuries and was transported to the hospital. They are expected to recover. Investigators identified the suspect as 54-year-old Scott Scibilia of Petaluma. His bail is set at $1-million dollars.
