The latest election returns from Sonoma, Humboldt and Mendocino counties show Santa Rosa City Council member Chris Rogers appears to have secured his spot in the general election race to become the North Coast’s next Assembly member. Given that significant Democratic voter registration surpasses Republican registration in the state, Rogers has a clear advantage in November. If the numbers hold, he will face Republican candidate Mike Greer, a Del Norte school board trustee who earned more than 27-percent of the primary vote.
