An innocent driver is in critical condition after a police chase came to a violent end in Santa Rosa. Police say an 18-year-old driver who officers were chasing on Saturday night lost control and hit the 70-year-old driver of another car head-on. The collision happened on Stony Point Road on the overpass above Highway 12. The suspect, Carlos Delara, was arrested and faces felony charges of reckless driving causing great bodily injury and child endangerment. That second charge is because he had two passengers in the car during the chase and the crash, both of whom are minors. Both were taken to hospitals as well.
