Several members of congress from California are expressing concern over high electric bills. Sixteen members of the California Congressional delegation sent a signed letter to the California Public Utilities Commission President Alice Busching Reynolds. In it, they express their concerns over a high fixed fee proposal that ratepayers will have to pay every month. They fear it will raise electrical rates significantly and undercut investments in renewable energy and energy efficiency. Among the signers are North Bay Congressmen Mike Thompson and Jared Huffman.
