Two men have been convicted in the shooting outside the Whiskey Tip bar in Roseland. After a week of deliberations, a jury found Ednie Afamasaga and Fogatia Fuiava guilty for the second degree murder of Kenneth McDaniel back in September of 2021. They were also convicted of shooting at a vehicle and assault with a semiautomatic handgun but acquitted of conspiracy. They now face a potential sentence of at least 40 years to life in prison with the possibility of parole. It was never questioned whether the suspects killed McDaniel, but if they killed him in self-defense or out of revenge for another shooting outside a different Santa Rosa bar in 2018 where McDaniel shot one of the defendants.
