California’s economy could be falling from the fifth largest in the world to sixth place. The state’s GDP growth was 32nd in the nation last year. The Sacramento Bee says after a 2022 prediction that it would pass Germany for the fourth largest economy in the world, the California Business Roundtable is now projecting the state will drop below India for the world’s sixth largest economy later this year. California has seen a drop in revenue the last two years, with a weakening tech sector and the highest unemployment rate in the country.
