A Fort Bragg man wanted for attempted murder has been caught. In January this year, 33-year-old Michael Anthony Jones got into an argument with a 62-year-old man over stolen property in Fort Bragg. Jones shot at the man but missed and then, after evading police, came back the next morning and shot the same man in the leg. The man was treated for non-life threatening injuries while Jones remained on the loose. Then this past Tuesday, Mendocino County Sheriff deputies located Jones at a residence in Willits. After a brief chase involving a police K-9, Jones surrendered. He was found to be in possession of suspected meth.
