Sonoma County Sheriff Deputies have arrested a 44-year-old man for drug trafficking, sales, and possessing a firearm. On Tuesday afternoon, deputies served a search warrant on Gerardo Carcano when he was pulled over for a traffic stop on Highway 37 and Lakeville Highway near Petaluma. Officers found about three pounds of meth, 7 ounces of heroin, 1 ounce of suspected fentanyl-laced ecstasy, and a loaded revolver. The narcotics and firearm were in various types of food packages, which had been resealed to avoid detection. Carcano was arrested and charged with several drug and firearm offenses with bail set at $250-thousand dollars.
