A major data breach at Kaiser Permanente. The healthcare provider will soon be notifying over 13 million current and former members of a data breach after confirming it shared patients’ information with third-party advertisers, including Google, Microsoft and X (formerly Twitter). Data that was potentially shared includes names, IP addresses, how members accessed the Kaiser Permanente website and app. Kaiser filed a legally required notice of the breach with the federal government on April 12th. Members who had their data compromised will be notified by Kaiser beginning in May.
