Months after his death, tributes continue to pour in for late comedian and Sonoma Valley resident Tommy Smothers. Smothers was honored on Sunday, with a celebration of life at the Friedman Event Center in Santa Rosa. Smothers, who was half of the Smothers Brothers comedy duo, died on December 26th at the age of 86. Several close friends and family members spoke at the private event, including his brother Dick, Tom’s two children, and former writers and producers who worked on “The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour” in the 1960s. There was also a live performance by singer and anti-war activist Joan Baez.
