A body was recovered from the ocean just south of Fort Bragg. Last Friday afternoon, a citizen called the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office and reported seeing a body. Once they confirmed the report, first responders managed to recover the body using a boat and swimmers. Once they got the body to Noyo Harbor, officials were unable to locate any identifying marks or characteristics on the body in order to determine identity. Based on their clothing, it is believed the deceased is likely an adult female. The sheriff’s office continues to investigate the case and is working to identify the deceased.
