Public Input Sought for Proposed Park in Roseland

A draft environmental impact report found transforming 20 acres between Burbank and McMinn avenues in Roseland into a park would not have a significant impact on ecological resources and the surrounding neighborhood. Consultants who conducted the analysis said Santa Rosa needs to take steps to reduce potential harm to resources on the land. Santa Rosa released the draft report April 24th, kicking off a 45-day comment period where residents will have a chance to weigh in on the findings before the report and park plan return to the City Council for consideration. Written comments can be emailed to the Deputy Parks Director by 5 p.m. on June 10th.
