The average price of a gallon of regular gas in the Santa Rosa metro area is falling, but not by a lot. Today, the average is $5.58, which is the same as it was Monday. It’s five cents cheaper than a week ago and one cent more expensive than a month ago. A year ago, it was $4.97 per gallon. The statewide average is down one cent today to $5.34. The cheapest gas is at the Costco on Santa Rosa Avenue where a gallon of unleaded is $5.25.
