The new, independent governing board for Petaluma’s only catholic high school will take over operations from the diocese a month earlier than initially planned. Saint Vincent de Paul College Prep says the transition is now expected to happen on June 1st, before the school year ends. It was initially planned to happen on July 1st. The change comes after the new governing board was able to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars to fund the transition to independence. Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Parish will be giving up administration of the school to the new independent school board.
