The Sonoma County Board of Supervisors has approved a revision to its ordinance banning the sale of e-cigarettes and flavored tobacco products. This version of the ordinance, approved Tuesday, puts fewer restrictions on businesses than the version that was initially going to take effect last December. Tobacco licenses are now allowed to immediately transfer from an old business owner to a new one. The updated county ordinance will take effect on June 13th. California outlawed the sale of most flavored tobacco products in 2022, with a few exceptions. The county’s ordinance is stricter than the state’s ordinance.
