Sonoma County school enrollment has ended an eight year dip, but only by a small margin. Based on attendance data collected last October, 64,447 students were counted for this school year, up 72 students from the year prior. That ends eight straight years of decreasing enrollment when student enrollment was over 70,000 for the 2017-18 school year. However, the number of students who were homeless increased by 32-percent in Sonoma County to 921 homeless youth. Also nearly 33-thousand students were counted as socioeconomically disadvantaged youth, an increase of over 4-percent from the previous year.
