The home of the founder of Papa Murphy’s take and bake pizza company is for sale in Petaluma. The massive Mediterranean estate called Villa Terra Rosa in southwest Petaluma is on the market for $12.5 million dollars. It was custom built in 2005 for Terrence and Rose Collins, both of whom have since passed away, and is located on Mount Rose Lane, adjacent to the Petaluma Golf & Country Club. The 35-acre property includes a five-bedroom main house featuring a temperature-controlled wine cellar, a home theater, billiard room and a sauna and steam room. Terry Collins started Murphy’s Pizza in 1984 and then bought and merged with Oregon-based chain Papa Aldo’s Pizza in 1995 to form Papa Murphy’s. The franchise was later sold to New York City-based Lee Equity Partners in 2010.
