A welfare check in Rohnert Park leads to the discovery of a homemade bomb. On April 21st, Rohnert Park safety officers conducted a welfare call for Eduardo Hernandez. During the visit, they found an improvised explosive device and called for the Sheriff’s Explosive Ordinance Disposal Team. The device was homemade and surrounded by metal objects that would act as shrapnel if detonated. The team safely disposed of the device and turned the scene over to Rohnert Park officers. Hernandez was arrested for committing a felony while out on bail, violation of probation and possession of an incendiary device.
