Lagunitas is moving all of its brewing operations back to Sonoma County. In early August, Lagunitas will move all brewing and production in Chicago to its original brewhouse on McDowell Boulevard in Petaluma. The company will keep operating its warehouse in Chicago but the taproom in the Chicago commercial brewery will be closing for good. Eighty-six employees will be affected. Some will move to Petaluma, some will work remotely and some will be laid off.
