A man has been arrested for murdering a 77-year-old woman in an area just north of Willits. Late Sunday morning, neighbors on Blue Lake Road called 911 to report sounds of yelling and fighting taking place at a home in the 52000 block. Deputies arrived to find the woman injured from a violent assault. Despite attempted life saving measures, she died at the scene. A car drove up to the scene as deputies were there and they searched the vehicle to find evidence linking the passenger, Michael Coleman, to the attack. He was arrested for murder and booked into the Mendocino County Jail with no bail.
