Santa Rosa City Schools could close some of its campuses by the 2025-2026 school year. It’s the latest cost-cutting measure being considered by a district dealing with declining enrollment and a tight annual budget. The district is recruiting members for a committee that will look into current and projected enrollment at existing schools. The committee will also analyze the schools’ physical makeup, academic achievement, nearby transportation and other factors. Meetings will take place during a period of seven months. Then, the committee will propose a recommendation to the school board in February.
