Occidental Fire 7-8-24 (Cal Fire)

A road just east of Occidental has reopened after a car crash caused a small vegetation fire. The crash happened at about 7:30 Monday evening, at Occidental Road and Facendini Lane. The California Highway Patrol says a car hit a power pole, which then knocked down power lines, sparking the fire. Cal Fire held the flames to about a half-acre of land.
