Lawsuit Involving Former Sonoma County Courthouse Administrator Halted by Judge

A federal judge isn’t allowing a former Sonoma County courthouse administrator’s lawsuit to go forward. Last month, Judge William Orrick ruled that Arlene Junior failed to provide evidence of racial discrimination and retaliation in a lawsuit over her 2022 firing. Now Junior has filed a motion to have Judge Orrick’s ruling amended claiming there is “ample evidence” to present to a jury. Junior is suing Sonoma County Presiding Judge Shelly Averill and the Sonoma County Superior Court for alleged workplace racial discrimination and retaliation.
