Power has been restored to about 1800 PG&E customers in northeast Santa Rosa. Officials say a metallic mylar balloon hit powerlines at about 4:15 Sunday afternoon, killing power for about an hour at the hottest time of the day. The balloon touched powerlines in an area just north of Sonoma County Jail and just south of Kaiser Permanente Santa Rosa Medical Center. The outage impacted the north end of Santa Rosa’s College District, Chanate Road and part of Fountaingrove.
