Ridge Fire 40-Percent Contained at Over 2,700 Acres

Firefighters are making good progress on the Ridge Fire burning in Lake and Colusa Counties. The fire has burned over 27-hundred acres of land and is 40-percent contained, as of Tuesday night. That’s a ten-percent increase from Monday. The fire started in Remington Canyon on Saturday afternoon. Cal Fire crews are not only battling the fire but extreme heat as well. On Tuesday, highs in the fire area reached 104 degrees.
