People may have to pay more for health insurance sold through Covered California. Executive Director Jessica Altman says premiums will go up in 2025. Altman cited rising pharmacy costs, labor shortages and wage increases in the health care industry as reasons for the increase. Most Covered California enrollees receive financial aid from the government so many will only see a small impact, if any, to their monthly cost. Altman says it’s important to remember that rates can vary by plan and region and prices can change from year to year.
