A 267-acre piece of land southeast of Cloverdale has a buyer. The Press Democrat reports that Esmeralda Land Company is buying the land and plans to transform the open space into a full-time neighborhood that includes a hotel. Cloverdale city leaders still need to approve the deal as well as Esmeralda investors. Devon Zuegel, who runs Esmeralda Land Company, was a principal behind Edge Esmeralda, a pop-up village in Healdsburg back in June.
