A man has been convicted of torturing three foster children he brought into his home in Rohnert Park. On Tuesday, a jury found Jose Centeno guilty on eleven charges. That includes three counts each of torture and kidnapping for ransom. He was also convicted of eight counts related to the rape and sexual abuse of one of the victims, a woman who is now about 20-years-old. One of the children, Kaya, disappeared under his care in 2012. She would be 22 today. Centeno will be sentenced on August 27th. He and his wife, Gina Centeno, were arrested in August of 2020, each accused of torturing the children in their home for nearly a decade. Gina Centeno would have gone on trial but died in January.
