How Did Petaluma’s 18-Year-Old Olympian Do in Paris?

Minna Stess, an 18-year-old Petaluma native competed in the Summer Olympics in Paris on Tuesday morning, but did not make it to the finals in her event. Eight skaters advanced from the preliminaries to the finals out of 22 competitors. Stess finished in 19th place. Stess’ father Andrew Stess said Minna was disappointed, but is ready for her next contest and says that not doing her best will drive her. Although she didn’t qualify for the finals, her family says that the experience was great, and that she’s an Olympian.
