Wild Boars Become a Nuisance at Geyserville School

A school in Geyserville has a pig problem. Wild boars have wreaked havoc on the grounds of Geyserville New Tech Academy, leading to large areas being cordoned off with caution tape. The boars have been regularly visiting the campus since summer, initially targeting the baseball fields and then moving to other parts of the school. School officials have hired a trapper to address the issue. The California Department of Fish and Wildlife notes that wild pigs are present in 56 of 58 counties in the state and are known for causing significant damage to various properties.
