Three of the four members of the Santa Rosa City Schools board won’t be running for reelection. Alegría De La Cruz and Ever Flores did not file to run for reelection before Friday’s deadline. Ed Sheffield, a fellow longtime trustee, recently announced he would also be stepping down at the end of his term. The fourth incumbent, Jeremy De La Torre, is running for reelection unopposed. Community mental health worker Sarah Jenkins has filed to run for Sheffield’s seat, Navy veteran Mark Kirby is running for De La Cruz’s seat, and business owner Nick Caston is running for Flores’ seat. All three challengers are running unopposed.
