Petaluma city schools begins the new school year with their superintendent taking the year off. This week, Superintendent Matthew Harris started a 10 month leave of absence to travel the world with his family. Esmeralda Mondragón will serve as the interim superintendent for the fall and then Louann Carlomagno will take the reins for the spring semester. Harris will then return to Petaluma City Schools 2025-26 school year. Both Mondragón and Carlomagno are both retired superintendents.
