The tribe has formally reclaimed 66 acres of land, which will require the city to redraw its boundaries. This new territory will be used for conservation and preservation purposes, according to city officials. The tribe is currently undergoing a $1 billion expansion of its casino, which includes a new hotel, restaurant, and parking garage. The casino has also agreed to pay millions of dollars to the city to offset public impacts.
