Sebastopol Granted $6.5-Million from the State for Gravenstein Commons

The state is giving Sebastopol $6.5 million dollars to help homeless people. The grant is part of the Homekey program and will be used for the Gravenstein Commons, a new construction project that will create 21 permanent supportive homes for people exiting homelessness and one manager unit. Sebastopol is doing this in partnership with St.Vincent de Paul. Eight other communities are also getting grants to be used to build a total of 533 homes for nearly five-thousand people. Governor Newsom says he’ll continue to support local governments working to ensure everyone has a place to call home.
