Petaluma DUI Checkpoint Nets Over 20 Arrests or Citations, Including a DUI Arrest

Over 20 drivers were cited or arrested during a recent Petaluma DUI checkpoint. It was held Saturday night on Old Redwood Highway between Redwood Way and North McDowell Boulevard. One driver, Reno Ayers of Martinez, was arrested for driving under the influence as well as delaying an investigation when he refused to identify himself. Another driver was arrested for driving on a suspended license and for possessing drug paraphernalia and a third was arrested for an outstanding warrant. 19 others were cited or arrested for operating a vehicle unlicensed or while suspended/revoked.
