Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit and the Town of Windsor have partnered to build a new undercrossing for pedestrians and cyclists near Windsor High School, just south of the Town Green. Matt Stevens, Communications and Marketing Specialists explains how the project is being funded…
“The Town of Windsor and SMART were co-applicants in a grant that resulted in a $3.8-million dollar grant,” Stevens said.
This project will provide a safe way for students and residents to cross the train tracks. The undercrossing is expected to be completed by the time the Windsor SMART station opens next spring.
