An 84-year-old man died on Wednesday following a car accident near the Mendocino County coast. The man was driving a few miles east of Highway 1 on Sunday when his car went off the road and flipped onto its roof. He was critically injured and died about 4 days later at a hospital. The cause of the accident is under investigation, but speed is believed to be a factor.
