A 50 year-old Petaluma woman has been arrested after attacking a man with a machete. Last Thursday afternoon, police were called to a residence on the 700 block of Marin Way to reports of a woman trying to stab a man that ended up barricading himself in a room. The attacker, Heather Doyle, managed to get inside but failed to stab the victim. She then fled before police arrived with the man still barricaded inside the room. Afterwards, police tracked Doyle down in Novato and arrested her.
