Officials are Working to Identify the Pilot Who Died in Novato Plane Crash

A pilot is dead after a fiery plane crash in Novato. The small, single-engine plane crashed into a hangar at Gnoss Field Airport just before four o’clock Saturday afternoon. The airplane and the hangar both caught fire. The single engine airplane was completely burned, taking the life of the solo occupant and pilot. Due to the extent of the fire, the identity of the pilot is pending a forensic postmortem examination. The airplane wreckage was relocated to a secured facility for further investigation by the NTSB.
