A Novato man was sentenced to 37 years in prison Tuesday for his role in a shooting that left one person dead and another injured at a warehouse party in Sonoma County last year. An unauthorized party was held at the building west of Santa Rosa by the owner’s grandson, and strangers showed up after the event was advertised on social media. Shots rang out after a fight between two groups. David Jeremiah Morales pleaded no contest to voluntary manslaughter and attempted murder. He was arrested shortly after the shooting and was later convicted in a trial.
