Items confiscated from Esteban Chavez-Gonzalez (Santa Rosa Police)
A gun was found by Santa Rosa police while contacting a group of juveniles and adults known to be on probation. Last night, officers patrolling Sunset Avenue and McMinn Avenue in Santa Rosa noticed the group, many of whom were criminal street gang members. As they approached them, several fled on foot with two being immediately detained while another was caught on foot after a brief chase. During this, one person discarded a handgun that had been concealed in his waistband. After recovering it, police arrested 18-year-old Esteban Chavez-Gonzalez for the gun possession. A juvenile was also arrested for resisting arrest and violation of probation.
