81-Acre Boyles Fire in Lake County Fully Contained

The Boyles Fire that destroyed dozens of properties and vehicles in Clearlake is now fully contained. Authorities declared full containment of the 81-acre fire at about 8:30 Wednesday night, more than three days after it started. Thirty-three homes are destroyed with six others damaged, 22 outbuildings are destroyed and 80 vehicles are destroyed. Those are all preliminary totals. About 23-hundred residents were ordered to evacuate. Repopulation efforts are now underway.
